As the center of the New York art scene, Chelsea is a hopping place on the days the galleries have open houses – Thursdays and Saturdays. Our building alone has more than a dozen galleries, and more are up and down the block, and on other streets.
When you come, it will be a great time to visit the galleries, and stop for a bite to eat. But we strongly recommend you make a reservation. Here’s a small list of nice local restaurants to try within walking distance.
If you drive in, it’s easy to come through the Lincoln Tunnel. Parking is available in a lot at the west end of our street. If you take the subway from Penn Station, use the southbound 1 or 9 7th Avenue trains or the E or C 8th Avenue trains to 23rd street. We are between 10th and 11th Avenues.
